Pastor Joyce Thornton is a woman after the heart of God, who has been called to the kingdom for such a time as this. She received Jesus Christ as her savior and Lord in September 1984, and was instantly delivered from drug addiction and strong bondages. She is a witness that whom the son make free is free indeed. Pastor Joyce is a passionate preacher. In July 1988, she was licensed to preach the gospel by Pastor Fred Boyd. Since that time, she has been proclaiming the word of the Lord. She is a woman of integrity, prayer, and perseverance. She possesses a deep passion for the things, which pertains to the Kingdom of God. In December 1996 she founded Committed To Christ Ministries Inc; under the auspices of the Holy Spirit, and was ordained as Pastor, on January 26,1997 by her mentors and pastors Dr. Walter Leigh Bates and Co Pastor Delores Bates. In April 2003 she founded Joyce Thornton Ministries Inc. a motivational, and evangelistic outreach ministry, which also assist in providing aide to the total needs of all people through collaboration. God has blessed Pastor Joyce to travel extensively; she has been privileged to preach the gospel throughout the United States, and the Caribbean Islands. God has blessed her to travel on foreign missions to South Africa, and she had traveled to England and France. In 2005, she earned her Doctorate Degree in Theology, and her Master’s Degree in Christian Counseling from Grace Theological Seminary, and Agape love Bible College. She is the wife of Pastor Gregory Thornton, the love of her life. Together as one they cohesively shepherd Committed To Christ International Ministries Inc. in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She is the blessed mother of five gifted children and the elated grandmother of six beautiful grandchildren, and one precious Goddaughter. Pastor Joyce declares that the joy of the Lord is her strength. |
